I hate to say I remember watching this live on TV, but….
New Orleans is what comes to mind.
Dino didn’t rehearse his show, pretty much just went out and did it. But when you got a fire pole and Louis Armstrong guesting you can make that work.
As a kid growing up I got to see Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Junior and Frank Sinatra..they may have been older and more towards the end but I got to see them do movies and TV..and man I cherish this..the word Legend is just tossed around these days, but these two are Legends!

Crosby’s voice there is smooth like a knife, and Armstrong complements him so well. Would suggest everyone to check that track out too

I was always told Dusty Baker invented the high-five with the Dodgers in the 1970s. I guess it was actually Dean and Louis.
I still watch roasts with these guys. You hear a kind of talk that absolutely won’t fly today so if you’re sensitive stay away. But whatever these guys had in them in terms of humor, there was class, the lot of them. Except Rickes. Don’t give a shit about Donnie, never have.
