One of my best friends was sent to the Detroit Metro airport to pick up Iggy Pop back in the late 80s/early 90s, I forget the complete backstory of why but basically she knew a bunch of people in the music scene and whoever was supposed to pick him up couldn’t make it so I think she volunteered. She drove a 60s Dodge Dart & Iggy Pop was into it, said he was a super polite and nice guy.
