City is better. No batmobile.
I really don’t see what people issue was about this, was so good!!!!!
I think that villain identity “reveal” was pretty weak. Weakest part was definitely the Batmobile/Tank segments.
Great game. The issues on release really ruined it for a lot of people I think but it was a great game. Wins huge praise from me for the Mr. Freeze DLC, one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time.
Its alright at best
It was fine, it’s easily the weakest game in the trilogy though.
Came out like yesterday man.
It’s crazy how a last-gen game holds up? I’m guessing you’ve only been alive for a generation or two, then.
Never in my life would I think I would complain about driving the Batman mobile.
This game made me hate it
I enjoyed city better! It makes me so sad saying this too.
Didn’t this come out in 2015?
I just finished my 240% Knightmare file and am itching to do it again. I really hope this game gets an HD remaster or port for ps5/xsx. The game still looks next to perfect and one more generation of polish would set it up for years more
Wish they’d create a Batman: Beyond game. Or movie. Or series. Or anything, really. I really, really just want Batman: Beyond, man.
A more noir take on Batman in the Beyond suit. Would be sick 🙁
I don’t even remember getting all of the Riddler trophies but I downloaded it again and they’re all done lol
Fun fact: the amount of time you spend in the lame bat tank is exaggerated by our brains. Someone did a re review on YouTube and pointed out there were only a few segments. Could be wrong.
Great game. Weak villain. I may go back on steam deck
Isn’t this game, like… not that old?
It’d be pretty embarrassing if a AAA game aged that poorly that quickly, doncha think?
This post is a joke right? We’re talking about an 8 year old game.
Just bought the pack on steam, plan to play through them all during the snowy winter. Only watched a friend play some of the first one but everyone says how good they still hold up so looking forward to it.
Arkam knight was bad compared.to asylum and city
What if there was another next gen bat game!!!!??? Could you imagine the shame on Spider-Man it would give
Remember playing the demo for this game over and over and over.
I just started playing it last week. I had loved the first two but held off because of all of the launch issues on Steam. It is really freaking good.
I just finished this game and it was so good! I’ve played a few top tier new releases and despite being a long time fan of their earlier games I couldn’t get into them. Besides the stupid Riddler puzzles (and maybe Poison Ivy’s outfit) this game is simply amazing!
I just finished playing through this for the first time a month ago. I’m a pretty casual gamer and don’t finish games often, glad I finished the main story plus the first nightfall protocol. Was pretty fun, good balance of creative puzzles but nothing too challenging or tedious.
It’s less than 10 years old and was actually more unplayable than Cyberpunk 2077 on release.
Yes it was 8 years ago and no 8 years isn’t really that long for a lot of us.
But I’ll also be fair and say that at a certain point I realized a lot of people making these posts are kids. At least kids as I would consider them only being in my mid 30s. People 20ish and under?
Meaning they could have played this game in middle school and now, 8 years later, have graduated college with a job and living on their own (I mean at best with this economy) so yeah, to them that would be a life time.
From one generation to the next usually isn’t incredibly vast looking back on it but also we’ve reached a point where things can only look so good so consistently. Much of what doesn’t look good now a days can be attributed to lack of optimization, poor art style and just generally lack of effort.
Fairness to Rocksteady they are usually pretty good at giving a damn to some degree so yeah, should still hold up pretty good.
Possibly the last good Rocksteady game.
We all pray for Suicide Squad, but…I think we all know how it’s going to end up.
not only that, it was made in modified unreal engine 3, the so called brown filter game engine for ps3 and xbox 360 era
This thread is crazy to read after just playing and beating it for the first time a few days back. I fucking loved the Batmobile… and the tank missions were super fun for me. My only complaint about this game would be the excessive amount of riddler trophies (which I didn’t bother finding all of) and the at times unforgiving bat claw aiming.
I haven’t played City yet, but I liked it more than Asylum.
That is not even remotely crazy
City >
Amazing game, I remember being very surprised seeing the environment destruction.
Batmobile missions ruined it for me
Arkham city was better and still looks better despite beeing older imho
Great Game, great subreddit
The first arkham game still holds up. I never played one before and hit it up on steam deck and was being visually and atmospherically blowed
Too bad it’s locked at 30fps on PS5 and Series X!
To me, this is the best game I ever played.
i played the whole arkham series in a row and arkham knight was peak to me
a master piece, the best batman game ever made and one of the best super-hero games of all time
Arkham City is still my favorite
Just like it did last week when this was posted for karma yet again. *Crazy.*
