They were still around until the 80’s. Most of them didn’t work by then though. I think they were just part of the furniture no one wanted to pay to replace.
I used one in ’87 at the San Isidro Greyhound Bus Station.
I remember seeing one of these when I was a kid. 25¢ for half an hour! Outrageous! Who has that kind of money?
I remember seeing these while watching Adventures in Babysitting as a kid and asking my mom what they were. The idea of a tiny tv attached to a chair absolutely fascinated 8 year old me 😆
I even remember seeing these in the 80s
I remember the great hound station in downtown San Diego having these still in the early 90’s
