They were still around until the 80’s. Most of them didn’t work by then though. I think they were just part of the furniture no one wanted to pay to replace.
I remember seeing these while watching Adventures in Babysitting as a kid and asking my mom what they were. The idea of a tiny tv attached to a chair absolutely fascinated 8 year old me 😆

I used one in ’87 at the San Isidro Greyhound Bus Station.
