No mention of The Duelists – don’t watch this awful marketing hack job garbage.
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe…
My favorite Blade Runner shot is when the replicants enter the eye-engineer’s house. It’s like, they’re entering, [and some folks just kinda ride by on their bicycles](https://youtu.be/lBQVMJ8dukg?si=wQo62BEq5VDzVAGO). It’s not a super important shot or anything, but it fills in so, SO much of the world…
And it kinda makes me emotional, for some reason? It’s sort of like, we’re watching a piece of this world happening, and Deckard and Roy’s story is occupying 99% of our vision/attention, and in the middle of it all, there’s some people just going about their day, who don’t know anything about what’s going on. It’s just another day to them.
I don’t know, something about the shot just really hits me on multiple levels, both intellectual and emotional.
Also, if I had the chance, I would love to ask Ridley about his memories, of FIRST hearing that Vangelis soundtrack. He must have ***completely*** shit his pants, artistically speaking? Would love to hear that story.
