Crazy that Lloyd looks so much healthier than MJF given their age difference. Parkinson’s is such a terrible disease.

How is it that Christopher Lloyd looks younger than he did 30 years ago?
Related, he and Dame Maggie Smith are two actors who I swear have looked 75 for the last 50 years.
As a Gen X, this was heartwrenching to watch. I remember the movies coming out and loving them as well as Michael J. 
Can you believe that years ago, after it came out why Michael J Fox hasn’t been in any movies for some time, and that it was because Parkinson disease, people said he was faking it for some reason. I remember seeing him doing an interview for the first time in… well a long time. He was twitching etc., but people was just huge jerks about it and trashed him for god knows what reason.

Just shows how big a part of his life those movies were and the larger than life character that Christopher Lloyd created.
To be so much older, yet in so much better shape than your long time friend; weakened and rack by Parkinsons, has to be a special kind of heartbreak.
I was at the panel at NYCC and at every opportunity Michael J Fox showered Christopher Lloyd with praise. It was really heartwarming how much they care about each other.

When I was kid I was friends with his son, my dad played hockey with him. Mjf is the nicest guy, and to see the physical and emotional pain he goes through enrages me because he is the last guy who deserves it

I couldn’t even watch it. Seeing him like that is sad. Growing up on BTTF really hits home to me. Big up’s to Michael J Fox for being strong and confident.
I lost my brother 3 years ago to cancer. He went from healthy to passing in 6 weeks. It was really hard to see my best friend change so quickly as the cancer took his life. I couldn’t imagine watching someone suffer as Christopher Loyd has watched his friend MJF suffer.
I wrote this yesterday, it’s a miracle that he even made it on stage. His Parkinson’s has progressed to the point where Michael had to retire from acting. The sad thing is that the disease will take him in some form of complication. Modern medicine has kept him going when he was diagnosed I think in 1992. It can only do so much. I am just glad that he was able to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for Parkinson’s. Either way, there will be a day where the disease will have progressed to where he cannot go out in public anymore.
It just breaks my heart how much Fox is suffering from Parkinson’s. My grandpa died from it, it is a horrible disease

It’s amazing that MJF is doing anything. He is an advocate and it’s exhausting but so important to normalize disease to promote research. Too many people suffer without support.
He did an interview in the recent Joan Jett documentary and that was really great. He shows up where it’s important to support others at risk of ridicule, True Awesome.
Couple of very fine men there. Good example for the rest of us. Respect.
I know there’s a lot of speculation about Lloyd was feeling looking at MJF, but they both look damn happy and therefore, that makes me happy. They are both two treasured icons in my book.
Ok. I actually don’t like this photo. I watched the video, MJF gave Lloyd more than a few bro hugs! Sure…he shook and he struggled, but this freeze frame makes him look like he was embracing and emotional. He wasn’t. It was a great reunion between two professionals that really didn’t have anything to do with Parkinson’s. I love the two of them. I love what they’ve done. I love him for the fight. But can’t he just have a moment without us going “poor guy!! Look at him overcoming!!”.
I saw the video…..seeing Michael j Fox like that actually made cry. Parkisons is such a cruel disease.

My lasting memory of MJF has been from the Back To The Future franchise. I had not seen MJF in this state before and it broke my heart to see how advanced his Parkinson disease has become. As a medical practitioner, I have seen worse forms of this progressive disease, and I wish that we find a better treatments, if not a cure, for it.
I thought they go to these conventions quite frequently together. When was the last time they saw each other? All the coverage makes it seem like they haven’t seen each other in a long time.
Breaks my fucking heart. My parents only used to let me watch movies in French as a kid so that I would develop another language, watched BTTF 1 and 2 on repeat for years these guys feel like family to me

It must be so hard for Christopher Lloyd seeing a co-star who you remember from 20 years ago being charismatic, fun loving, charming and many other things and now having to see him suffering from Parkinson’s it must be gut wrenching
Partly its a sad photo but…MJF is still out and about, still living his life, still raising money for Parkinson’s. No shame, no hiding away. I love that. So much respect.

Damn. Despite his age, Mr. Lloyd looks so much healthier than Mr. Fox. It is really sad that disease can just bring a good man down.
