So, I was walking up the driveway with Tony, my mate, to catch up with our longtime school friend Duncan, who met us at the gate and said, ‘you gotta listen to this new album I just bought…’ – Duncan was from a well-to-do family, $2.99 on a vinyl album was almost nothing to the rich folks.
We listened, and we were hooked – since then, I have been a big Blondie fan and borderline Debbie Harry stalker…and never talked about lover. I saw her decades later in Auckland, NZ. The sight of 40year old plus men in the mosh pit waving Parallel Lines vinyl album was a sight.
