Pre TRT and HGH. Absolute unit.
This movie will make you cringe at the racist statements
Chuck was born in 1921 and this movie came out in spring of 72, probably filmed in 71. Dude was 50…
Death Wish 3 is one of my favorites. Total Schlock classic.
Legitimate favorite is Once Upon a Time in the West.
“The Mechanic” and “Once Upon A Time In The West” are my favorites of his. I recommend both to anybody who hasn’t seen them.
I liked that one where he’s a watermelon farmer and the crooked sherif shoots up his watermelons. Great scene Gallagher would be proud.
Dirty Dozen
Magnificent Seven
The Mechanic
Mr. Majestyk
Once Upon a Time in the West
Yes def a Bronson fan. And the term scrappy always comes to mind.
“Wha-what are you doing in here?”
“I’m making a sandwich.”
Magnificent Seven ❤️
my dad loved his films. I was too young to appreciate or keep track of them. the first 15 minutes of Once Upon a Time in The West are truly iconic in world cinematic history. Almost no dialogue.
Amazing that the same guy played 007 and then went on to found Virgin.
My mother was a huge fan. I believe she owned every thing he was in.
They used to say, Is he a handsome ugly man, or an ugly handsome man
I love Deathwish because it’s not really fiction. NYC was that dangerous in 70’s.
What? No love for “Red Sun”? If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it. Bronson’s character was well played, and it is a very unusual western.
Huge Bronson fan!
My friend Sean told me that one time when he was like 8 his dad took him on a river fishing trip in the middle of nowhere Idaho and Charles Bronson appeared heading down the river going the opposite way. My buddy Sean is like totally starstruck and his mouth is hanging open, but his dad didn’t recognize Charlie and they made some small talk about the fishing. As Charles Bronson is drifting away he says, “Hey kid – listen to your father, he’s a good man.”
Sean was like, “dad that was Charles Bronson” and his dad was like, “ooooh I thought he looked familiar” and that’s like the coolest celebrity sighting I’ve ever heard of in my entire life.
Now I say that to little kids if I make polite small talk with their dad’s, because that’s just a wholesome badass thing to say.
Once Upon a Time in the West is my all time favorite western and he’s absolutely perfect in it.
I like The Great Escape.
Y’all be forgettin’ about *”HARD TIMES”…* CB kicked some SERIOUS ASS as a bare-knuckle prize fighter- look it up!!
I am now😍
Wasn’t he a tailgunner in a B29 in WWII?
Hard Times, must see. Excellent movie.
All of them
Yep, only just inside my age-group star-wise, but was still stood tall amongst his competition, thanks largely to the Death Wish series.
For some reason liked him more than Yul Brynner.
Damn, life goals for real
Ahhh the pre every action movie star on steroids era….
And his lovely wife, Jill Ireland!
I’m a fan after seeing this!
White Buffalo all the way!
Is that the British guy who killed all the people
Love the dude. Death Hunt is probably one of my favorite movies.
My daughter loves him in the Great Escape which is her favorite movie.
I highly recommend the Twilight Zone episode, “Two” that he’s in. A very nuanced performance by him.
Favorite movies:
Once Upon a Time in the West
Mr. Majestyk
The Mechanic
Hey, ma! How about some cookies?”
Anyone recommend some other westerns?
Bronson was offended the role of Curly in City Slickers. They sent him the script and after reading it he was mad that they killed him off so early. He called Billy Crystal and told him to fuck off. They gave the role to Jack Palance who then won the Oscar for best Supporting Actor.
