What classics you gonna play? I just scoured the library this weekend looking for og Xbox games to add to my library and most I could find was about 17

I had one of these and it was basically indestructible.
Current-gen xbox has backward compatibility with most of the old classics. Might be worth trying that.

Before you plug that badboy in, make sure that all the capacitors inside on the board have been good boys during the off time.
I bet that some have gone leaking especialy the 1 that saves the clock memory during the off time.
It is highly recommended to resolder those with the exact same new ones or the same but improved ones that wont leak as quickly as the old ones.
Update: if it is the Capacitor that keeps the Clock memory, you dont have to worry if you have to leave it off the board, just keep the powercord connected and it keeps the time and date, just make sure to clean the acid off.
Is it weird that one of my favorite memories about the original Xbox was the way it smelled?? That smell brings back so many memories lol
Once I saw this gorgeous, the first game I came up with was Predator: Concrete Jungle.
Perhaps it’s because I can play Halo and Gears of War on my PC nowadays, this beautiful game rests deep in my heart with XBOX. Really hope it can get a remake one day as it deserved it.

I love the fact that I was able to take my copy of Manhunt, load it into the Xbox Series X and play it. That is what makes me love Xbox over other consoles
