can’t believe it’s been 14 years since we’ve had a new game with this character 😞

There will never be a new one
Cuz he’s dead as fuck.
Isn’t Solid Snake cannonically dead?
His story was over. That series is over.
We don’t need one. MGS4 wrapped up his story.
I can still hear the whistling from MGS4
He’s dead, let him rest, he’s earned it.
Series finished. Only thing is remake the MSX games as that continues from MGSV.
Is Smash Bros. Ultimate a joke to you?
I think we should ask why haven’t we had a proper way to play all the games on current gen consoles.
Actually makes me depressed, at least port the series to ps4/ps5
Someone didn’t finish MGS4.
Don’t worry Fortnite will bring him back to life
Metal Gears were my go to for when I wanted to play stealth games. I haven’t found a new one yet that holds a candle to the MG games.
Won’t ever be, unless you want a soulless shell of a game. Konami fired Kojima and out of spite forced his team to do menial tasks around the office before they all quit too. They treated the team like shit.
The entire soul of the series, all the quirky movie references, the long philosophy debates, the amusing easter eggs like being able to distract guards with porno mags, all that was from Kojima and his crew.
I’m surprised Sony hasn’t re-released it for the PS4/PS5.
Really? Look at him again.
I feel the current expectations of gamers got warped somewhere down the line. The devs should not keep simply making games with the same characters and same story lines and the game is not abandoned if there are no more updates or any work done on a game. How the hell did we get to the point where some people think that way?
Kept you waiting, huh?
Snakes story is over, I would absolutely take a second Rising Revengence game tho
He was too good for another sequel. He will be missed.
We need MGS4 on modern platforms, haven’t played it since the PS3 days and is still up there in my all-time faves.
They never will make another one, and if they do it won’t be Kojima anyways.
You either die a hero, or they make enough sequels until you’re a villain
Don’t need a new game but would appreciate a remastered series for the new consoles
And hopefully we will never see another one. Kojima doesn’t have the rights and I don’t get why people want more games in the series made by people who had nothing to do with the original games.
…because his story is complete.
Like, isn’t it better to let him have a good self contained story then pump out sequels forever, slowly descending into mediocrity?
What do you mean? He’s in Smash Bros Ultimate 😉
Technically hes playable in Super smash bros 😅
Next game he’s just going to be a pack of cigarettes that crawls around and coughs, giving away his position.
I’m pissed these games haven’t been remastered in The new consoles or PC. MGS2 is the first game I ever beat and I have done so many times. My all time favorite game.
How come the graphics looked so real back then, and now I can’t unsee his blocky arms.
Nah his story is over, and it ended great. What we need is another MGR.
He suffered enough, let him rest like the last month of his life or however long he had.
That’s 1. not true and 2. Why would we want another Solid Snek game with a story that’s finished?
Still my favorite character.
I surprised the only way we can play MGS4 is STILL only with a PS3. Even emulators have trouble with it.
Smash bros
*Laughs in Raiden *
Bro it’s been 24 years and we still don’t even have a live action movie with this character.
It’s for the best. Not just narratively, but practically; Konami doesn’t really make good games anymore, and Survive was fucking awful.
Bruh Smash ultimate came out 4 years ago what are you talking about
MGS4 was the last game of my “youth”. It came out in June of 2008, and I have vivid memories of playing and beating it up in my old bedroom at my parents house. In August of 2008 I got a job in the city and by October, I had moved out. Still gaming to this day but thinking about MGS4 reminds me of days gone by and the end of an era in my life. I can’t believe it’s been 14 years since the game either, but it was a fitting ending for that character and we don’t need a sequel.
