Pooter the Clown was played by the wonderful character actor Mike Starr. He was great in Miller’s Crossing and died of a hot sauce induced heart attack in Dumb and Dumber.

One of my favorite movie memories is when he drills the lock to catch bug in bed with who he believes to be his niece. It’s revealed to be some other girl. Candy looks slightly chagrined for a brief second, then gets this absolutely maniacal look in his face and turns off the light while revving the drill up to top speed and stepping into to the total darkness.
I laugh so hard every time. Like Buck is really here to save his niece but he really really also hates Bug. So the fact the girl isn’t the niece doesn’t matter to Buck. He’s going to make Bug pay.
