So will Brie Larson, Jason Momoa & Charlize Theron become a party of the “Family” after this one ends, just like Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, & John Cena did? Will they all battle a huge new villain together to save the universe in FF11?
As someone who has only ever seen the first Fast and Furious movie (like 20? years ago) and hasn’t really checked in with the series since, its absolutely bonkers to see a poster with this many known actors on it. How do they even incorporate this many characters? What are the multitude of plot threads that give all these people a prominent enough role to be on the poster? Are any of these people besides Vin Diesel even present in the first movie?
There’s no movie franchise where the Reddit comments and the rest of the world is so separated than the F&F movies, and I really don’t get it. I would get the hatred if the commenters on this sub also disliked John Wick, or the Mad Max movie, but these are essentially the same types of movies as those- really high production value, action first, lots of practical effects that people normally seem to be super excited for, absurdist movies. Like JW, the movies are well reviewed by both critics and audience scores. Unlike JW, the movie has a greater diversity of appeal- way more women and POC watch F&F than JW.
My theory is that Vin Diesel is just easy to make fun of, and so to make fun of Vin, they also decide to hate on the movie.
Can’t believe I grew to hate these movies, Fast and the furious movies used to be so damn good and now it’s just a soulless nonsense franchise like Transformers. All those faces and still feels so lifeless without Paul Walker.
Every time I watch one of these films I always crack up laughing at what my buddy once said, “The entire Star Wars saga is more believable than the Fast and Furious movies!” 🤣
