  • One of the most complex photos I made during that trip to Norway: the final shot is the result of a vertical panorama of two photos (to capture the northern lights so high in the sky) and a focus stacking to have the foreground on focus.. You can imagine the effort to put it all together, but in the end I managed to do it!
    That evening I witnessed without any doubt to one of the most beautiful shows of my whole life, the aurora borealis really gave the best of herself: for the first time I saw also some blue hue in the aurora, which is one of the rarest color to see!

  • FYI at 24mm the hyperfocal distance is about 9ft at F8. Don’t need to focus stack. 5ft to infinity would be infocus. 15-20 second exposure at 800 iso and f8 should return excellent sharpness and image quality.
