Great trailer, knowing the movie is 2hr 40m I really wanted to get a sense of what I was in for because i personally don’t like long movies. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.
I’m really impressed by the avowedly anti-science Letitia Wright engaging in the method acting needed to play a character committed to cutting edge developments in the STEM sphere.
Still gonna watch this if the reviews are great. Not really a stranger of watching movies starring shitty people. Hell, I watched top gun maverick this year lol
Shuri is obnoxious as all hell, its easy to understand why they did it, but i still greatly dislike the decision and would rather they just replaced chadwick with another actor to play black panther.
Iron heart appearing, her HQs were extremely boring so as far as base material goes i’m not particularly hyped about, but we’ll see.
Interesting how The first name of Tenoch’s character is called K’uk’ulkan, said by M’baku before the Namor name drop. Wonder if that will be a given name by another character or it will be reveal even by Tenoch’s character himself.
I love that Namor is all pre-Colombian and stuff — it’s odd to me, because I never knew him that way, but it’s certainly cool. Making him into Kukulkan is a little weird, though. I’ll just hafta see what happens.
It’s gonna be interesting to see the fan’s reaction to fact the MCU changed Namor’s origins by him being from Talocan (based on Aztec mythology) and not from Atlantis. It makes sense if they want to distance themselves from DC’s Aquaman
You can see the suit absorb the kinetic energy of the landing. And the small **ting** sound when she lands shows us it’s a very soft landing because of the energy absorption. I love details like this.
The anti-vax stuff is the main reason why I don’t like Shuri being the New BP, but a secondary reason is that I think the character sucks. When I think of her, the first thing I think of is her doing the “WHAT ARE THOSE” meme in the first BP movie.
I refuse to listen to any of the soundtrack until I see the movie because hearing “All the stars” for the first time over those beautiful credits in the first movie is a feeling I’ve been chasing for years now.
Namor’s Powers and Ironheart armor looks so cool.Really excited for the movie and also for the rumored post credit scene!
2022 really is the year to fight the water.
*Waterworld* arrived just 27 years too early.
Between this and Avatar, Disney is going to make bank this year thanks to blue people.
Black Panther: The Way of Water

I was really hoping they wouldn’t make Letitia Wright the new Black Panther what a horrible role model
Anyone know the song playing in the background?
Loving the more logically put together suit for Ironheart.
From Chadwick Boseman to a nut job anti-vaxxer… well done Marvel /s
Yuck at Letitia Wright the antivaxxer being BP

Feels really weird without Chadwick man.
Aww Namor with his cute little wings 🥰
When the water nation attacks.
If I was in Wakanda, I’d be asking for an election or referendum. Like let’s hear out King Namor’s platform. The bloodline monarchy is kinda outdated.

This thread is emblematic of the worst tendencies of /r/movies. There’s no quality discourse here.
“Only the most broken people..
can be raid leaders”
Man this World of Warcraft Black Panther cross-promo is going hard

Aquanda
Hmm looks like we’re going to have an anti science Black Panther
Be interesting to see how the general public takes Iron Heart after people not caring for the Thor magic kids.

Should’ve made M’baku the next Black Panther. I just don’t like Shuri that much. Okoye (sp?) would’ve been a better choice too.
I only just spotted that Namor is played by the guy who was Rafa in Narcos Mexico. Never would have seen that coming.

still no sign of Pink panther, absolute slap in the face to fans

Namors serpent crown is next level.
