I can identify. I saw a young boy who was by himself and needed assistance pulling his pants up when I was in a shopping center restroom. No, no, and no.
When it first debuted, I wasn’t a fan of this program, but after someone convinced me to give it another chance, it quickly became one of my favorite comedies on TV and unquestionably one of the smartest on network television. In contrast to Modern Family, where everyone is unbearably annoying and cringe-worthy, Laurence Fishburne and Jenifer Lewis are both hilarious, and somehow they’ve managed to keep the kids being funny.
I feel like I can’t help kids at all. I’m white, but I’m also a trans girl. My first instinct is to be as caring, helpful, or even motherly but I know that I cannot interact with kids especially if I were alone.
As a white male this would also be my response in the same situation. I agree with the show that it’s worse for black males but it would be an iffy situation for any adult male.
I have never told this story but sadly it illustrates this sitcom’s tragic-comic truth.
So, I was maybe 7 and got sick at school. No answering machines invented yet. My mom was out but our gardener, Leo, heard the phone continually ring inside the house. He thinks it’s an emergency so goes inside to pickup phone. Goes to my school to bring me home since it was getting late.
The school would not let Leo take me, perhaps due to his skin color. Hope not though.
In any case, happy ending to story. Happy memories of Leo’s massive leaf piles he let us kids jump in results that I named my second son Leo.
That’s how I feel walking through a park. Don’t make eye contact with anyone, ignore every person there even if they’re on fire
I’m not a huge fan of blackish.
But all the stuff in the office with his white coworkers and Deon is absolute gold.
Also Daveed Diggs is always great in everything.
That is hilarious.

I literally saw my freedom flash before my eyes.” I must attempt this one.
On this show, Deon Cole says the funniest things ever.

The first 3 seasons of Blackish are comedy gold
That is funny
I’ve never watched the show but damn, that was fucking hilarious
It’s funny because it’s true. Also sad.
Halarious. Bitter sweet.
