I drove down in the so called ‘storm of the century’, in the 80’s or 90’s from central Ontario to north east Georgia.
We came through the Smokey Mountains National Park. There were vehicles in the ditch at practically every intersection in north east Georgia.
When we arrived there everyone was hunkered down for a week until the snow melted.
I think people in ATL are all collectively afraid of another Snowpocalypse/Snowmaggedon like in 2014. 1,000,000+ people were stuck in their cars for hours/overnight when traffic and snow got so bad that people started walking to friends houses/hotels/home if possible and the roadways completely shut down. I moved there later that year and it seemed like everyone I knew had a crazy story about how they got trapped.
Bro the pipes in my high school had to burst in like -5 degree weather for them to cancel school, and that was for the first time in like 4 years here in montana
My first “snow storm” in Atlanta cracked me the hell up. I went to work only to find that half the office wasn’t there. Cuz “snow storm”. I thought it was just frost but apparently the whole state thought it was an emergency.
You joke, but in the uk a dusting of snow brings the south to a standstill. It happens so irregularly in some places that they don’t have facilities to clear the snow off the roads and people don’t know how to drive in snow (or even have vehicles capable of it)
Well, not snowed in, but if that shit freezes, we’re screwed.

Oh my! Will they be able to rebuild?
Haha, I remember being the victim of ATL flight cancellations on the suggestion of a whisper of snow that was a non-event.
In Houston they start shutting shit down the day before it might snow.
As a resident of northeast Georgia…accurate.
From Atlanta can confirm
Bruh this is actually what I think of southerners.
I’m in this picture and I don’t like it

It’s a shitty snow swamp in my yard. I was really hoping for it to stick!
I was really hoping I’d have an excuse to not drive to the office tomorrow. There’s not even a good reason for me to be there!!!
Better go buy all the bread and milk.

Very accurate!
It’s just too dangerous to drive obviously

It’s been 10 hours. I hope everyone is okay.

Niagara falls got like a meter of snow last night and people are freaking out for no reason
Seriously? You need as much snow as that to break out the board games?!?
((Amateurs…))
NGL, this is the truth.
