This video is a fascinating look at the inner workings of National Geographic magazine. It shows how the staff goes about putting together a magazine issue, from coming up with story ideas to selecting photos to publishing the finished product. It’s interesting to see how much work goes into putting together a magazine, and I’m impressed by the level of detail and care that goes into every issue.
This was taken in Curry Village/Yosemite, California. It’s a black bear who’s protecting her cubs. You have to be careful over there because of all the wolves. The bears are used to chasing down wolves so they chase down tourists too. The rangers aren’t allowed to intervene if they decide to attack because it’s a protected park.
I grew up with a girl who got eaten by a black bear at work in northern Canada. 10 people couldn’t fend it off with shovels, rocks, air horns, nothing. It carried her away like she was nothing. Bears are powerful animals
A prerequisite for this job should be: be in shape in case you have to run.
I’d be running with US Healthcare costs!
You don’t gotta be faster than a bear, just faster than your friends
I don’t have to be fast, I just have to be faster than that guy that fell down while trying to run.
Stand your ground you cowards.
Hope they wiped that tripod down with a fish.
I just have to outrun you.

TFW you are the slow friend.
Pro tip: trip the one you like least. Don’t have to out run the bear, just have to out run your friends
Looks like it’s in front of the scene
someone definitely tripped that guy
Pretty sure turning your back and running triggers their natural instinct to eat you.
Why does the guy on the left of pic have a surf board? /s
Showed up to the wrong photo shoot…
I wonder how David Attenborough would narrate this…
Poke the bear long enough, *eventually he pokes back.*
Guy in the lead is laughing after tripping the camera man.

Replacing that tripod is coming out of your paycheck !

A man is willing to die to save a bounce light reflector.
Notice how the smart people leave material things behind and just run lol
As long as you can run faster then at least one of your fellows…….
