Just FYI, this isn’t a real trailer. Just a mock up using unrelated Eric Stoltz shots combined with shots of an actual teaser with Michael J. Fox. A couple of promo shots and a small clip in the café is all that’s ever been made public of Eric Stoltz’s version of Marty McFly. Not sure if they tossed the original Stoltz scenes they shot or if they’re sitting in a vault somewhere, but that’s probably all we’ll ever get.
Imagine, instead of it never actually existing (because he sucks), Elon announced the cyber truck by showing it as the time travel vehicle in a Back to the Future reboot
Where we’re going, we don’t need Stoltz…
Did he wind down the window? That can’t be a good idea, replace this guy immediately.
If I had photoshop skills, I’d make a polaroid with a fading Stoltz.
This is cool to see, but I am so glad Fox got the lead. Stoltz just had the wrong vibe.
I feel like I’m watching interdimensional cable.
Seems like a completely different plot just from the teaser
The fascination with Stoltz is bizarre to me. There are tons of movies that have switched actors after the start of production. It’s just weird.
That sucked pretty hard until the last 3 seconds. Not Stoltz’s fault.
The Michael J Fox version of the teasers vibe is completely different.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind a story where people went back to 1993 right now. Just avoid the same actors and make it a separate story.
So much visually lifted from Buckaroo Banzai… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jK3RW6rSCM

That is just a trailer somebody made from Stoltz other films. Mainly Some Kind of Wonderful, which is a classic in it’s own right.
Man this looks shit. Glad they made changes
I think I might be one of the few people who think this looks way better than the actual film.
30 years ago was 1993.

Good thing they didn’t keep Stoltz for BTTF.
But it would be interesting to see a cut of what it was with Stoltz in it. Problem is I don’t think they’d have enough footage for an entire movie.
