It’s been a minute since Ive seen it but is this the movie where the kiss guys had like, evil twin robots or something? And was there something with shooting eye lasers?
That’s The Colossus at Magic Mountain in Valencia CA (now Six Flags Magic Mountain…Santa Clarita CA).
At the time it was the fasted and tallest wooden roller coaster in the world.
Now it is the Twisted Colossus.

I do love Kiss but I will be the first to admit that this movie is an abomination and worse than the Star Wars holiday special. Much, *much* worse.

I was 4 and sick so my mom let me stay up watching TV with her and this came on back when there was such a thing as the ABC late night movie around 11pm and I begged her not to change the channel. I was sick, delirious, and 4 years old, but I thought it was awesome lol.
Mystery Science Theater should show this one.
What you youngsters need to know is that back in the 1970s, LSD was in the water supply. Consuming it was mandatory. So all of this seemed normal at the time.

God…that’s horrible. Lol…funny thing is? I was a huge KISS fan and my older sister, as a Christmas present that very year(1978) took me to see them for my first “real” concert. She was in the Army, stationed at Ft. Meade, MD. We went to the Capitol Center to see them.
Oh yeah, the opening band was Piper…never heard of them….later on, I found out it was Billy Squier’s band.
I was 7 when this came out on television, and I loved it.
I loved the Star Wars Holiday Special, too.
Same with Rock & Roll High School. Came out a year later. These films and shows defined my childhood.
So much nostalgia. My dad had this on VHS, and he showed me when I was just a kid. He was a huuuuuge KISS fan. He attended the concert they had in the parking lot at Magic Mountain. I watched this movie so much growing up in the 90s. Seeing this really made me miss my dad. Thanks, OP. Hadn’t thought about him in a while, but I’m gonna play KISS all day now!
