I don’t get it. How is this different from leaving and coming back later?
Isn’t this how autosave works for most games?
Iron Harvest has a “Every soldier will speak their native language” option and I thought it was pretty cool.
Lot of rpg’s and leveling based games take you back to before the boss fight if you lose.
I’m actually surprised this is an accessibility option instead of it just always being on
How is this an accessibility feature? That term typically indicates things like color blind support, screen readers, subtitles, automation of button pushing, etc
that’s super cool they have features like this for those of you with weak bloodlines
I’m sorry but I’m not praising a basic feature of multiple autosaves that have been common for 20 years.
Is this really an accessibility feature or a Cliche in every game with Boss Battles?
I like halo’s system we’re if you keep dying on a cursed checkpoint it will take you back to the previous checkpoint after enough deaths.
Its a cool feature, espescially if you can stumble into boss battles without knowing that a boss is coming up so you can save beforehand.
But how is this an accessibility feature?
Accessibility features are things like colorblind settings, subtitles, etc. Stuff that allows people with impairments to have a better time playing the game.
Wow such tehc
Sorry OP but this is not a new feature.
Most recent game I played that saves before a boss was Resident Evil 3 & there’s so many many more games that do this.
Most RPG games have this feature too.
This feature had me laughing for a good 3 minutes straight.
Accessible for who? Skill impaired players?
Literally thousands of games have autosave.
OMG game saves how revolutionary
For a game that is making such a big deal about it’s accessibility features, how did they overlook that I have to click R3 constantly. Like all the fucking time. Everything that highlights with R3 fades out in a matter of seconds and I have to click it again and again and again and again. The first game didn’t have an obnoxious R3 click. The necessary items were just always highlighted.
Dying light 2 has exactly the same problem. EXACTLY the same fucking problem. I have nothing wrong with my hands and it pisses me off, I dread to think what some poor player with cerebral palsy or something is going through trying to play these modern games that want you to click R3 every 10 seconds as you play the game.
Edit –
Custom HUD > interaction markers always on. I retract everything I wrote above. Its not under accessibility though, it’s under General options. Boy do I feel dumb.
I feel like most games do this, they just don’t point it out as a specific feature. It’s just an auto save feature that also works when you get close to a boss (like most other games lol)
oh man they used to call this as autosave/checkpoints
god the propaganda dosent stop jeez
dude this is just a fucking save
bruh quality of life features that make the game easier or less frustrating aren’t ”accessibility options” tf? Accessibility != easy to play. Differently abled people can be capable of beating challenging gameplay.
Also isn’t this the default way autosaves work in most games
Unsure how I feel about this. A little SOFT if you ask me.
So a checkpoint with extra steps?
This is pretty standard stuff. Hell, in most games you can have as many saves as you want, and load any of them at any point.
Bro they added saving? No way
Dope. Another ad for Horizon.
This is just loading an autosave? Almost all games with good design have had a list of autosaves you can scroll through for the past 15 years
Honestly, I wouldn’t even label this as an accessibility feature. It’s just good game design, and I don’t know why more games don’t do it.
This isn’t an accessibility feature lol
so like dark souls.
Best feature of the horizon games is the ability to pause during cutscenes. Seriously, why do some games leave this option out?
Wait what? Isn’t this just what would happen if you die? I’m confused
Wow this is incredible! Skyrim also has this and it’s over 10 years old!
The fact that you can store items that don’t fit in your inventory anymore. I love that.
How are people liking it on the PS4? I really want to get it and have all but given up on finding a PS5.
I want the item on the down arrow removed from my hud and can’t find an option that makes the entire hud go away. I don’t want static images on my oled
So… is the game actually fun or? Haven’t seen a single clip of anyone playing.. just oh it looks good
ps4 spider-man has the option for skipping small minigames in its open world. it’s great if you find them a bit hard but in my case, I just found them uninterested and the ability to bypass something your not enjoying is great and should be more widespread.
I’m pretty sure this has been a feature in innumerable video games, literally resetting you to before the fight. Weird to push this as ‘accessibility’.
Items going into storage in forbidden west is so nice. Hell I’ve been replaying zero dawn before this and having to stop when you are full up on supplies and have to figure out what the hell im gonna sell
