What was the ‘usual manner’ before dialing?
my grandma had one of these xD
I sort of wish we would get rid of telephone numbers and go to just SIP.
Maybe we could still preserve numbers, like <your current number> @telephone.com (telephone.com being a consortium of all the telephone companies)
Then new “numbers” would be purely SIP addresses. For example instead of calling the Bob’s pizza shop at 555-555-1234 you would dial bobspizzacleveland.pizza.
