This is actually pretty normal. That’s the actual language posted in many places. Some cities require it on the front door, some posted where it can be clearly seen, others just have to let you know it’s available upon request.
Is it just me or does the sign look like a folded piece of paper that’s been taken out of the tape before? Perhaps the score is on the other side of that sheet?
I always wonder how bad you have to be to not get an “A”. Because I’ve been in some real hole in the wall places with an “A” hanging in their window. I shudder to think what goes on at a place that won’t even show their score
The common man doesn’t have too much need to seek out this score which means they might be aiming it more toward the next health inspector. And I wouldn’t put it past this WH to insist that they put in a request to the manager, who happens to be on vacation, to get the answer.
The health inspection score is prominently on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.’
Not sure what state this is in but I’m going to bet a bunch of money this is a legal requirement. I’ve been in the industry nearly 30 years and information like this has to be available upon request for the common individual.
They just don’t want to brag.
Tell me you got a crappy score without telling me you got a crappy score.
Seems… illegal
Waffle Stomp House, more like
Looks like they smothered and covered it up
If the cook was outside smoking by the dumpster before you came in, that food is gonna be banging.
Pretty sure it’s a legal req to have it posted.
If you’re eating at a Waffle House your probably already drunk and don’t know the difference between A- and D+ anyways.

Why is the note in English and the sign in Spanish?????
I appreciate all the dirt stuck to the tape lol

It’s a kindness. We all know, we don’t need it on display.
Sus
They probably wrote it up themselves lmao
“Shit, let’s just roll it up and put a little sign over it, that’ll fool ’em.”
Ignorance is bliss.
Is the grade letter sign only a state requirement, or only voluntary overall or statewide?
It’s a fire they should be worried about. That extinguisher should be replaced.
DON’T ASK DON’T TELL
alright mate
so.. did you request the score?
Now I want some Waffle House 🤤
