Their moms forced them to shake hands
If anyone happens to have the chance to go to Gettysburg & the Gettysburg National Military Park, go. It is a much more powerful experience than you probably realize.
Also, use the battlefield guides. They are passionate about Gettysburg and it’s place in our history. The one we had, Tom, actually drove our car to the various sites.
Working on erasing this so it never happened – hang tight – that will end critical thinking 🤔
Good game, good game, good game
If I recall correctly all those VERY old men actually camped at Gettysburg for 3 days (in separate camps) for this event in honor or the battle. It was notable that no one died during their three days of camping but after this reunion. They all went home. And they started dying off fast.
One side was not sincere.
Cool.
I wonder if they kept up the facial hair fashions of the time or if they brought back the look for the reunion
Over 200,000 black Americans fought for the United States against the states that wanted to destroy the nation in order to protect the institution of race-based slavery.
The only way I can see this happening peacefully is that they all have the same degree of dementia or they were the last remaining drummer boys.
Some of those men ain’t happy.
One side was fighting to preserve the Union the other side was fighting to maintain slavery and ironically against Stare’s rights.
So let’s tear down some more statues and rename more military bases because, today, we have such a firm grasp of history!!!
But was it the northernmost battle of the civil war?
Screw the confederacy. Traitors and slavers
