I’m not really an Assassin’s Creed fan but I got this at launch because I loved the look of those turquoise seas. It’s honestly one of the most fun times I’ve had with a game, Kassandra is such a great protagonist, both the main quest and the side quests are really well written and often hilarious (despite how weird it is to constantly be switching sides in the conflict). It’s so fun having this strong straight talking woman just bang her way through ancient Greece.
I know this will get a lot of hate, but this whole game was magical to me. I played the crap out of this game. It was so awesome. I had never played an Assassin’s Creed game before. I know this isn’t how AC usually is, but still, this game was magical for me
Playing 5120×1440 at 120FPS is only recently possible. I’ve had an ultrawide forever, but only with a 4090/13900K have I finally been able to game on it.
I think the new games would be completely loved if they weren’t trying to be linked to assassins creed. People don’t like them because they’re not assassins creed games, but they are glorious in their own way.
The scope of this game was honestly too overwhelming for me. I’ve tried to get into it twice and both times I’ve quit after the getting to the point the larger map really opens up. Maybe some people think that it’s massive size is a plus, but for me it was just way too much to deal with.
People talk a lot of shit about the new era of AC games (maybe barring Origins), but aside from reasonable complaints that they stray from the assassin part of the series, these games were fucking excellent across the board. I even loved Valhalla, despite them absolutely fucking BUTCHERING the siege of Paris. Salty about that, but still think about the game positively.
Honestly AC Odyssey was just pure magic in general. I get the hate that there was TOO MUCH to do, but for me it meant there was limitless hours spent enjoying the game until I grew tired of it. It’s the first game in years where I truly felt that I got my money’s worth out of it.
Can someone do me a favor and answer this: Does Odyssey, Valhalla, or Origins have the same “back and forth into modern time/conspiracy/VR” gimmick that the first bunch of game had?
I see these games set in awesome time periods and they’re gorgeous, but I found the whole “Knights Templar/Alien Conspiracy/Adam Eve ” thing really took me out of it. I could never play Black Flag for more than a few hours due to this.
Didn’t care too much for the game itself, but the gameworld was so unbelievably beautiful that I played it for hours anyway. It felt like a fucking timemachine, insane achievement by the devs.
I’ve said it many tines; Odyssey is a beautiful game. I mean, what game will you purposely search out a nice spot on a cliff over looking blue waters and white, sandy beaches watching a sunset. I love that time actually passes. I would often find a magical spot to just have it on as a back drop. The interaction between him and Ikaros is funny when they are idle.
Odyssey introduced me to the Assassin’s Creed franchise and is one of the main reasons I decided to get into PC gaming and got me into building my own gaming PC’s.
Odyssey is one of my all time favorite games. 120 hours easy. Beautiful music, amazing visuals, great voice acting. Awesome DLC stories. I looooved the mythical creature fights. 10/10 game.
Just finished a week or so ago and I miss Kassandra’s voice. That actress was so good!
Look really amazing and I loved that game

such a great game

My top tier favorite game of the entire series. Like, just seeing that makes me want to play it again.
This game hit every sweet spot for scenery. Everything is beautiful. Every single goddamn thing.
The only game I’d say has more beautiful seas is ATLAS(copy-pasted pirate ARK, and I mean literally copy pasted, same devs.)
This is awesome!
I just could not get into this game or Valhalla.
Odyssey was the best of the open world rpg AC games. They’re all good in their own way but Odyssey really hit that magic spot.
Still the best looking AC game so far.
Isn’t it inconvenient that the character only occupies such a small part of the screen?

This game and horizon were gorgeous.
It’s actually mindblowing to me that only 3 percent on steam have ultrawide monitors. Those monitors completely revolutionized gaming for me

I started with Origins before playing Odyssey, and they’re both amazing!
Loved this game so much. It’s been tough to get the feeling back
where’s that senor chang gif when you need it
Odyssey is probably my favorite open world to explore out of every open world game I’ve ever played. They did great with Greece
Best Assassins Creed ever IMO.

Okay. I was hesitant about getting a ultra wide monitor but I’m pulling the trigger! Amazing screenshot!

I loved this game so much, i had like 600 in the first month playing this game
I can see my house from there.
Ultrawide and HDR, now that, my friend, is a treat.
@rocklou what GPU do you have? It looks great
Every game that supports it is amazing to go back and play games on.
It only sucks when its not supported – I’m looking at you Elden Ring & Death Stranding
Breath of the Assassin

There’s some great views. It’s too bad it comes with the most repetitive side quests you’ll ever do
An ocean wide and puddle deep.
Nah! It’s the same ubisoft game but WIDER!
Too bad outside of the map Odyssey just isn’t good
Especially coming from earlier AC games and even Origins
Origins was perfect, but Odyssey and Valhalla took the RPG stuff too far to the point its just not fun anymore
It also just has nothing on Bayek as the main character, he’s masterfully done and acted
The best Assassin’s Creed game by far.

Can you flip the monitor and take some extra tall shots?
Bad game, but pretty…
I always felt that this game could have been released without the title assassins creed and been judged on its own merit.
It felt like a good journey and it made ancient greece feel so tangible.
Didn’t care too much for the game itself, but the gameworld was so unbelievably beautiful that I played it for hours anyway. It felt like a fucking timemachine, insane achievement by the devs.

I am currently playing AC black flag and Odysee is next after that
You should try ghost recon wildlands as well. That game is freaking beautiful, maybe even more beautiful than Odyssey.
Nowadays Assassin’s Creed games are like those fancy dresses on AliExpress…. Looks good only on online photos .. on live not so much
I want Far Cry 7 to be set in US again…

Try Horizon Zero Dawn.
