I had a chick file a complaint because I didn’t ring her bell. She didn’t have a bell. So the next day I knocked. Didn’t the bitch file another complaint because I woke her kids up from a nap. You can’t win man.
To me, it makes sense. If you need to see someone who lives there, knock loud. If you are delivering something that doesn’t need a signature, just drop it off and walk away.
Heck that is how all my deliveries go and I don’t have any signs. No one knocks or rings the doorbell anymore even though I wish they would so I knew I had a package out there.
Most deliveries have live tracking, like ups and fed ex send messages that the pkg is in route and then delivered (a long with photo). Food places and groceries have text message updates like one block away and pulling in the driveway, and delivered etc. I don’t understand why people get all pissy when a driver delivers but doesn’t knock, just pay attention to what you’re expecting, or am I just ocd?
I had a package delivered to me that was for my neighbor in one of those metal community mailboxes. I took the package over and saw something similar. Decided to knock, they were super friendly, and didn’t say anything me knocking. I did freeze for a minute trying to decide what to do lol
Pick which one you want to abide by and rip the other down, that way when the disgruntled party comes they don’t blame you because they assume the other party must have ripped theirs down.
The doorbell is broken sign is for guests or people who need to speak with the resident in general. The other sign is a short term sign specifically for the delivery person.
My doorbell works fine, but I’ll leave signs like this when I’m expecting a package that requires a signature. Otherwise they ring the bell at the same time they are attaching the “sorry we missed you” notice and run away.
I remember a call I had to install cable tv in a house, I got there and there was a note on the door like “I had to run out, but come on in, tv is in the living room” like no way I’m going into a customer’s house when no one is there. I don’t feel like getting shot by someone else who wasn’t told I was gonna be there.
At this moment…yiu have to wait…wait ALOT…
Lol. Got like a double minded recipient there.
Knock you fool, you mustn’t knock you’ll wake the baby!
If there is a fern hanging or something take it down and hang the package up where it was, leave a note saying LOOK AT HOW CONFUSED YOU’RE MAKING ME!
Are they afraid that the doorbell will cause the baby to wake the sleeping dog? I have so many questions.

Ok, sitting on the horn a few times it is.
Hmmmm all my UPS and FedEx drivers just completely ignore any notes left for them.
You are supposed to knock very hard on the doorbell.
What UPS driver knocks or rings the doorbell? Not sure why this would be a concern.
Split the difference… knock, but softly.
Compromise: the solution that leaves *everyone* dissatisfied.
As a ups driver you have clear instructions.
Dont knock
I believe the only logical solution is to throw a brick through thev window.
Hope you’ve got their phone number.
if i was a delivery driver i would just slap on the note saying nobody answered the door and leave with the package
Fucke em. Just leave it and keep the picture for justification lol
i would leave package and honk horn on way out

Just have to stand outside and scream ‘PACKAGE’

Clearly you need to knock on the doorbell loudly. If you have a hammer you can likely knock it off completely

Screw it. Toss it on the roof.
Just don’t knock. It says for delivery, which you are. If you were a neighbor or a friend, then you would knock because it might be important.
No knocking? OK
“HEY YOUR PACKAGE IS HERE!!”

Or you can just yell through that gap on the door.
In my experience, no UPS driver has knocked/rang since 2006…
I would knock on the brick
Ok. No deliveries for this address.
One is for deliveries and one isn’t. Don’t do anything, just leave the package. If you’re visiting as a guest you knock loud.

Well life always has its *UPS and downs*
Dont knock, but do it loudly. Be bold with your not knocking.
I don’t think they like visitors.
Why? UPS never does either at my house.
Also, UPS delivery guys don’t like it when you go up to their truck and order two tacos to go.
I don’t think I’ve ever had any delivery driver knock, they just drop the package off and leave.
**proceed to scream**
Why is nobody talking about the state of that door handle?
