Well this is going to be depressing
What happened to Kevin
What an awful title
I appreciate that they are not shying away at ALL from how much this book was about periods and bras.
I know I was one of those girls who wound up needing this book as an educational guide because it was something their parents would be okay with, while still tackling this stuff pretty directly.
I have yet to discover what broad appeal Benny Safdie seems to have as an actor that I can’t discern.
George Harrison’s music in the trailer makes me so happy!
1:47 PAULIE WALNUTS IN RETIREMENT! Tanned, rested, and ready!
I adored Judy Blume’s books when I was younger and read a bunch of them again over the Pandemic so I’m really looking forward to this!
Happy to see Rachel McAdams in something new.
That’s a no from me, dawg
This is a great book but I’m afraid the movie version is simply going to end up being unwatchably cringe. In general, when you move from book to movie, you ramp up a lot of the emotional aspects because you can see the emotional reactions with the actors. That’s fine when you’re talking about a horror book where it’s easy to undersell just how scary that creepy guy with an axe is. With the sort of embarrassment the book deals in? I don’t think that needs to be amped up to 11 to get the point.
Perfect song choice from the era and I really hope this is done well. I’ve not read any of Judy’s books, but their reputation has been known to me as long as I’ve been aware of books.
Fingers crossed!
Looks pretty good!
I’ve never read the book, but I really enjoyed the trailer.
I will definitely see the movie.
I somehow didn’t read any Judy Blume in school, although I read a lot of similar authors, but this looks delightful. And I loved the Edge of Seventeen. I can’t believe it’s taken this long for her to have another movie.
why does this actually look amazing? i’ve never read or heard of the book but this has sold me instantly.
I’ll see anything with Rachel McAdams
And the part of menses shall be played by the oboe.
That would be cool if it renews interest in Judy Blume books, but I feel like this movie missed it’s ‘window’ by about 15-20 years. All the gen-x’ers that grew up on these books are in their 50’s now.
Why does it say “Introducing Abby Ryder Fortson?” We’ve already been introduced. That’s Cassie Lang from Ant-Man.
Is there a twist where the father is a serial killer? That image of the father is really giving off serial killer vibes.
Oh fun the main girl is the Daughter from the Ant-Man movies
This was like my mom’s favorite book when she was a kid and it was one that was very special to me growing up along with the rest of Judy Blume’s works, I’m very excited to see this. I’m a guy. I think Blume’s works helped me understand both myself a lot better and understand the girls and women around me a lot better too. She’s just a special author to me. I’m glad this looks soo good.
I loved that book when I was a kid!
I’m glad they set it in the 70’s. It wouldn’t do the story justice to not be a period piece
Now that’s a good trailer!!
When do we get a movie based on “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing?”
The fact that Rachel McAdams is now playing a mother is wild to me
