  • This is a well-known issue with TrackMania; I found forum posts from 2016 with this issue. It seems the game itself does not handle VRAM well at all.

I don’t own the game so I can’t test this myself. But if you’ve got Nvidia Control Panel, you could try saving settings in there.

A big problem with using new hardware on old games is that sometimes they had no idea where the future would go and they don’t have anything to handle the way new hardware works. Crysis(2007) is a great example of that, even the recent remaster(2021) still suffers from the single-thread cpu bottleneck.

  • Some games have an upper limit of VRAM displayed, because when they were released there were no cards with such high amounts, the game won’t ever use anything close to that, and even if it does, there isnt a problem

I know nothing about Trackmania, but from a google search it was released in 2008? The top of the line cards had 512mb, the hardware detector simply seems to cap at 3080mb, the game will never use that much.Your card is fine, and GPU-Z, or modern games, will display it correctly
