So Black Manta did murder the Aquababy (may be Mera too). Glad they are adapting that story. Can’t wait for Black Manta to ask Aquaman “How’s the wife and kid?” In live action.
Honestly it looks like fun. The first one was an overwhelming mess of cgi and campiness yet you cannot deny it was very entertaining. This looks like more of that and I think thatās a good thing.
Even though the world-building won’t really go anywhere, I’m glad we’re revisiting Aquaman and Atlantis. Really enjoyed the first film, had a nice balance of action, humor, and heart.
One of the few successes of the DCEU was making Aquaman cool in the public eye. Loved the first movie, this is looking good as well, hopefully a better send off to that universe than the Flash was.
The first Aquaman took me completely by surprise, it ticked so many unexpected boxes for me. Still rewatch it pretty frequently (that it’s no good scene still makes me kinda buzz a little) as I believe it is a tentpole of how well-executed and fun DCEU movies can really be given the right treatment. I also think it’s one of the if not the most wonderfully grandiose-looking movies there is in the genre and was a true big screen experience.
If this indeed is just more of the same but as a reconnective bromance, I’m all for it. Looks great.
I legitimately cannot grasp why they made Patrick Wilson look like the spitting image of Arthur Curry from the comics but then have him play an entirely different character.
As someone who absolutely loves the first Aquaman film, this looks awesome. The visuals are great and it feels like Wan is tripling down on the āgoofy adventure/Saturday morning cartoonā vibe of the first, but with some more shades of horror and fun world building with the creature designs we see here. Itās nice to actually be looking forward to a DC film again.
One of my best friends is a marine biologist and as much as I don’t like the DC universe or should I say how they failed at setting up what could’ve been amazing… seeing her eyes and face light up like a 10-year-old on Christmas morning seeing the various marine life,
Come alive on the big screen in the last 30 minutes of the first film was worth the price of admission. That being said there’s a lot writing on this film but let’s just hope the universe goes out with a bang!
This looks … good? I know it’s had a really tumultuous production, bad early screening feedback, reshoots, etc., but watching that trailer I’m kind of excited. Black Manta as a villain with a larger role seems awesome, Yahya Abdul-Mateen is fantastic and hopefully this uses him well.
The first Aquamanās a guilty pleasure of mine. Yeah the acting and story isnāt up to par with the better superhero movies, but the action scenes, visual effects and aesthetic are so vivid and eye-catching. Really gives the movie a unique memorable style that stands out to me more than a lot of other superhero movies.
James Wan is a director Iām always pulling for. I hope this movie isnāt as bad as the early screenings say
This will surely be one of the movies of all time.
Looks really cool. Excited to see it on imax!
In wan we Trust!
That actually looks pretty cool including the CGI
Looks very much like the first one. Really goes for it with rhe CGI and style.
Looks like like the DCEU will go out with a bang (Hopefully š¤)
“Which trident does Black Manta have?”
“The Black Trident.”
Lmao.
I love the parts where they mention family and his child and pretend Amber’s character doesn’t exist.
So Black Manta did murder the Aquababy (may be Mera too). Glad they are adapting that story. Can’t wait for Black Manta to ask Aquaman “How’s the wife and kid?” In live action.
LMAO..
Yall have fun with this shit.
this looks so bad, honestly very disappointed. I don’t see it becoming successful.
Shit, I got tired from this ugly CGI mess on screen even from a 3 minute trailer. Canāt imagine watching it for 2+ hours.
But I also hated first Aquaman for the same reason(and itās story in general) and it made a billion dollars somehow, so what do I know.
Honestly it looks like fun. The first one was an overwhelming mess of cgi and campiness yet you cannot deny it was very entertaining. This looks like more of that and I think thatās a good thing.
A blink and you’ll miss it appearance of Amber Heard there…

Whats the timeline here? Cause he was shitfaced outside that bar in that post credit scene in The Flash. Did he already have his kid at that point?
Also getting some Quantumania and Kang vibes with Black Manta
patric wilson is fucking jacked!
damm
Lets Gooo!
Looks like a fun time, thatās all I hoping for.
Looks great.
I mean I liked the first movie, and I was hoping we would see more of the characters introduced in that.
Definitely a “wait and watch on Max while stoned” movie.
Sure looks like a James Wan movie with all the crazy crane shots, that floating camera style
Really cool trailer. But DC trailers are always really good. The moviesā¦not so much. Hopefully this one is really good.
Wow, patrick’s nite owl body

“What do those MCU fans like?”
“Uhh, I don’t know. Loki? They really used to like him and Thor’s relationship.”
“Let’s do that.”
I legitimately cannot grasp why they made Patrick Wilson look like the spitting image of Arthur Curry from the comics but then have him play an entirely different character.
Oh my god are the actually gonna kill the kid
Oh my, Patrick you’ve enhanced yourself
Wait, they are still doing those?!
cgii is pretty awful
Gotta be honest, I just want this to be successful so James Wan gets another “one for me” horror lol

THIS IS A HUGE SCREEN MOVIE!!! IMAX 3D
Needs more Mera.
It looks like crap to me
I can’t believe I’m the only one that feels that this looks awful and ultra-generic. Well, I’ve been wrong before.
Amber Heard looks like she’s in jail. Billion dollar box office for sure!

This looks fun!
As a domestic abuse survivor – I will NEVER support a movie that has a domestic abuser. PERIOD.
Unreal engine 5 the movie
– Amber Heard is still in it.
– Brings back the same demi-villain from the first.
– Brings back the easy dispensed actual villain from the first.
– Gives the bad guy a power up and its a weird CGI mess mirror match.
This is boring as *fuck*. As someone with superhero tattoos, who adores the genre, this is gonna be an easy skip from me.
Looks like a cgi fuckfest and not part of the new DCU, gonna pass.
āIāll take āMovies Iāll Never Seeā for $1,000 Alex.ā
Still amazed that the DC Aquaman movies ended up being way more colorful and vibrant than the live action Little Memaid remake.
No crab people?
2/10

So is this soggy Lord of the Rings?
