Well, on DDR I could about 95% Paranoia Max and on ITG I could get 80% on Destiny hard mode.
Not sure if Iβm speaking the correct terminology as itβs been over a decade but I was pretty good. I also remember my friend making fun of me for playing dance games then proceeded to get better than me at them.
A few weeks after my first job I spent the money to buy a metal pad. Much more sturdy for harder songs and way better hit recognition.
Nowadays Iβd probably have a heart attack and die lol. The arcade by me had a few versions and every was always queuing up their coins for the next play. Good memories.
Anything by Captain Jack (RIP), but I think My Generation is my favorite. To this day, the only song I’ve been able to AAA (once) was La Copa de la Vida. I actually still have my DDR dance mat connected in my home gym, although I’m now using StepMania instead of my PS2 (even though the old boy amazingly still works).
Max 300 was the only “end game” difficulty song I ever successfully beat on Heavy. Never could complete Unlimited. Of course, pretty sure 300 was one of if not the easiest of the “hardest songs”. Definitely played a Paranoia version on the game with Unlimited that was arguably as hard.
On that specific pad? Butterfly or love shine. This pad brings back memories of me trying crazy songs like so deep, Sakura, and max 300 and I end up sliding to the other side of the room lmao.
Dream a dream! With that mountain troll synth? That was my jam

I still have two of those in the basement, except they’re the higher end ones with the thick foam inserts. Fricking loved DDR.
