Absolutely, this is very common among the Whippet breed (and potentially other sighthounds as well). 🙂

You cannot have a dog.
You can have a dog but it has to live outside.
The dog can come inside when the weather is bad.
The dog can come inside at night.
The dog can live inside but has to stay off the furniture.
The dog has to stay off the good furniture.
The dog can get on the furniture but not on the bed.
The dog can get on the bed but not under the covers.
The dog can sleep under the covers.

I sleep like that under the covers… I hate being all inside with the heat and hot breath
i wish my dog would sleep. His goal in life is to keep me awake at all times.
One of the cats do this if that’s close enough.
I sleep like this sometimes, except I breath through a CPAP hose instead of a snout.
He does but he only leaves his testicles out… A nose would be nice.

Yes! One of our dogs has to be under a blanket if there is a blanket present. If you’re under 2 blankets, she has to be under all of them. She’ll refuse to lay under the top one if you’re under both

In the fall of 1989 we bought a beagle.
She quickly began going under the covers, down by our ankles and calves to sleep each night and she did so until she was about 10 years old. She slept on top of the covers at the foot of the bed the last 3 years of her life.
You see, you gotta cover your entire body to keep safe from the bedtime demons, but it gets hot and the air circulation isn’t good under the covers, so you just have a little hole for you’re mouth and nose. Your dog gets it.
Yes! My hound LOVES blankets but it’s overheats. He’s also blind so we like popping his nose out so he always can easily find his way out.
Yep. My Chihuahua does this frequently. She’s so small you have to make sure you check under blankets etc before sitting or lying on them.
