This was such an amazing game. I’ll never forget the music of the first level and the trees with butt’s that farted when you grabbed them. Such an odd and amazing game!
I just had a Berenstein/Berenstain moment as this game was called TOMBA in the US. I had to confirm the name difference online and briefly thought my memory of it was wrong.
Well, Whoopee camp went bankrupt long ago. Who knows who owns the rights to Tomba games anymore. That’s probably the first hurdle to get any sort of port, remaster or remake of this games.
Then again, Fujiwara came back to the game industry after many years of hiatus. Maybe he holds the rights and can be convinced to do something about it.
I used to play the demo of this game every single day (cause i couldnt find nor afford the original), and it felt like everytime I played that one level I found something new in it.
Truly, two of my favorite games for the PS1. I have wished for a remake of these games since the PS3 days, but alas no such luck. Maybe we could start a massive campaign to get them back. #TombaReturns #TombaReplay
Oh my, this was one of my faves on PS1. Had the demo for so long then got it for xmas one year. Happy days. It really was unique and loads of fun too.
I’m going to be completely honest, what the fuck is that?

The moment I found the flying squirrel suit to jump the chasm, one of the happiest moments as a kid gamer.
Man I love you for bringing this up. Amazing games.
Holy shit I remember playing this, never found the game’s name ever gain
This and Bugsby were my weird childhood games
At this point, I’d just be happy with the game being put on the ps+ classics catalog with trophy support.
I always think about that speed run
It’s been so long since I’ve seen this game
And it gave us the “I’d really prefer if you’d be quiet right now” moment
I fucking loved me some Tomba! 💯 % both of em and wish they’d make another or AT LEAST a remake…

Got it in 1998 for my 8th birthday. Had no idea there was a sequel until I was about 20.
Legit one of the most in depth amazing games I’ve ever played. I had so much fun with this and MGS, without a doubt my two most played ps1 games
Tombi was absolutely amazing. A genuine classic.
Oh please! I love these games and I would love to see a remake/remaster on current gen consoles.
Please yes ;-; I still play tombi 2 every now and then, such an amazing game

Lol no
This just unlocked a core memory I had forgotten existed! Thank you!
Tomba 2 brings back memories of throwing birds into washing machine and using pig bags to capture evil pigs
