We were supposed to get around 30% here in Ontario, 20 years of life and this would have been my first eclipse I bought the glasses went outside and now I’m sobbing in my room at my 4th or more missed eclipse.
I could finally afford the glasses to see it but the earth fucking despises me.
We do not get this in Florida unfortunately.

Trivial: The term “annular” does not imply annual (from the Latin root “annus”, meaning “year”), but rather comes from the Latin root “annulus” meaning “ring”. The same root as for the term “anus” (which oddly has no relation to the root “annus”).
Every time I see the word “annular,” my dumb ass thinks, “this doesn’t happen every year, that’s silly.”
