My reference as a kid was “Ann Margaret Rock” on the Flintstones. The Flintstones was a cartoon on TV. TV was a cathode ray tube (aka the boob tube) that would could tune into frequencies broadcast over the air direct to the TV. TV screen was black and white only and the only remote control was my father asking one of the kids to go change the channel to one of about five possible channels in total to see if “F-troop or Lawrence Welk was on”.
Ann Margret is on a rocket headed to outer space, she has a strength and warmth to her all at the same time. Not to mention she is charming and gorgeous.
