Oh wow, that makes so much sense. I can’t believe I never realized/guessed it.
That scene was obviously stop motion, but I thought they built a full size skeleton and had stop motion done with it.
I guess the scenes following the reveal of the full skeleton had actors and the skeleton in the same scene, so I thought it was a full size one.
