The Horror Make-Up Show at Universal Orlando regularly uses two of the animatronic heads from the transformation sequence as part of the show – one that’s just the infrastructure, one that’s all dressed up.
Despite the limited technology, I have never seen a better werewolf transformation. Not only did the practical effects make it realistic, but the scene it’s was terrifying.
This movie really got me into horror films. The writing is great; it has a unique spin on werewolves to make it stand out from other movies. The dialogue seems natural and not too developed on the page. The ending is a perfect way to end a horror movie. Really encapsulates the idea that becoming a werewolf is to be cursed, rather than to be gifted a super power.
And The effects!! They are some of the best of the day and it still holds up because they just don’t make em like this anymore.
Last time i watched this movie was probably 20 years ago but i’ll never forget that transformation

I watched this when I was 8 and it fucked me up until high school. I threw up the night I watched it from being scared. Highly recommend.
