All these years later, still the best $20 you can spend on a game.

Agreed!
Love that damn game. I replayed it at least four times.
Definitely subjective. I know people with 20,000 hours in Diablo 2, but I think I capped out at like 500 maybe.
I’d say for me the best bang for buck games have been Indies like Rimworld, Battle Brothers, and such.
Hell, if we’re talking about loot’em ARPG’s, I’d say Path of Exile has given me the most bang for my buck.
Wrong, D2R it is.
Warcraft and starcraft battle chests were great too
D2R is $13, right now… but okay.
correct
Over 20 years later and I have more time on the remaster than most games I’ve played.
I saw D2R is $13 right now and have been considering getting it. Not familiar with the series and haven’t played many games of that type, but I’m thinking about getting it. Always heard D2 was exceptionally good
Edit: Thanks for all of the suggestions. Sounds like maybe D2 would be tough to get through these days. Maybe I could try it sometime with some mods to make it feel a little more fresh.
I remembered I went batshit crazy when I got that for Christmas when it came out. Best gift ever.
Meh. The game has little in terms of gameplay variety. The map system if probably the best part.
I went thru the whole thing as a barbarian and only used throw and then dual throw the whole game.
I feel like acti blizzard is running some astroturfing campaign
I remember buying both D2 and D2LOD 💿 (I think it was HMV in Torbay) for £20 each. Mind this was around 2006. I brought them back home to Lithuania only to find out that original CD keys were both for D2. Holy shit how upset was I.
Still have the original, but Lost 1 disk 😢
Th OG best deal was the battle chest with D1, WC2 tides of darkness and SC. That kick-started my PC gaming life as a wee lad!
Thanks for the heads up! Saving $7 is even better than $20.
I want to love D2, but after playing more modern ARPGs, it just feels too clunky, even the remastered version
Diablo 2 was an excellent game, but some people have some serious rose-tinted glasses on.
No endgame other than boss runs, no hotbar, used stamina for running, annoying scrolls, had to pickup gold manually, little to no respecs, serious class imbalance, etc
I love how blizzard had to make D2R offline shit so they atleast have a few players on online.
Nah gta iv is the best 20 dollar you can spend
no
Ahh the fabled Battlechest. How many times have I bought thee? Let me count the ways.
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection would beg to differ, although it usually doesn’t go on sale that often.
Deep Rock Galactic is currently on sale for less than $10. Arguably the greatest co-op game of all time. Rock and Stone, brothers!
Honestly not even close. I would say $20 is very overpriced for Diablo 2.
I agree totally.
And now you can spend $20 for just one skin, Hooray!
Killed sooo many hours in d2. Open was fun where you could fuck around with drop mod and then absolutely get massacred by some random lvl 0 bugged character wearing full whites hacked gear set who isn’t on your screen but is rocking 20 different aura’s that cripple you as soon as he touches grass. Fun times grinding ladder. I have a screenshot somewhere with me at the top of the leaderboard somewhere. The best of times.
too expensive for 20 year old game when you have games like hollow knight for 15 $
Nostalgia is one hell of a drug.
Could have gotten stash tabs in PoE
I’ve only played Diablo 3 which, as I’ve been lead to believe, is the weakest entry but if the style of game play is similar across the series then I’ll pass as I found it boring as hell (no pun intended).
Rocket League, when it was still a paid game.
Can we get a Diablo remake please
Why would anyone buy this? D2r is cheaper and better
Lol no. $20 is way overpriced for an old and outdated game.
The last diablo game. Wonder why they stop on the 2, then jump to the 4.
Hmmm doesn’t look like Diablo 3
