Wow, I haven’t thought about the movie Defending Your Life in ages! I loved it when i was a kid.
Albert Einstein is a comedy genius along with his dearly departed brother, Bob Einstein, aka Super Dave Osborn
Wild, I always assumed Albert Brooks was the less talented child of Mel Brooks.
I’m not a huge fan of Reiner but I’ll be checking this out. Love me some Albert Brooks
[The trailer](https://youtu.be/DOAihCRr1y4?si=p9YdNLRw8IAX9GmI) for the 1979 Albert Brooks film ‘Real Life’ was incredibly surreal to watch during the 2010s, given that it’s all about hooking audiences with 3D movies and Reality TV.
One of my missed opportunities was interviewing him for Drive. I would have loved to ask about this trailer, but the PR firm handling the movie bungled the appointment book. At the time I would have interviewed him, I was coincidentally in another state reading his novel Twenty Thirty.
This seems exceedingly mastabatory.
Looks really great. I really have only seen his movies so all those TV clips will be brand new to me
Possibly the most prescient comic alive. Can’t wait for this. They even got Larry David to say something nice about him.
