This is all nice and dandy, but I have yet to play a single match of monopoly that didn’t use house rules or just made up rules since they didn’t actually read the rules when they started and just followed rules they were “taught” as kids. The more I think about this, the more I realize monopoly is real to life. The bankers are the only real winners as they “enforce the rules”, their rules, and everyone just has to play by them without knowing the REAL rules.
Here’s one for anyone looking for an actual strategy: Build houses but never hotels. There are a limited amount of houses in the game and rules prevent making more. Once all the houses are used up. Other people’s property becomes cheap to stay on and hard for them to keep as they inevitably wind up on your properties with all them houses. They sell/auction their properties which you buy which causes a chain reaction within their holding and they spiral out of control and are likely to lose.
What are the browns? Did they change the Monopoly colors and not tell me?
