The best Thanksgiving movie we’ve got
Its so great how much of it is children’s comedy, but the imagery is just savage. They shoot fiery arrows all over, including at the heads of the counselors. The parents are felled from a height of easily 7ft up, plenty of height for a fatal head injury. They are actually burning and cooking the counselors alive, over an open flame, at the end.
But the music and the pie-in-face gags keep things light.
This scene and the one where they are looking for a volunteer to be a pretend drowning victim are great. “I’ll be the victim!” and Wednesday replies “All of your life” LOL.

I watched this on Pluto (owned by Paramount) a few months ago and they’d completely cut the Sound of Music/Disney cabin scenes.
