When I was like 7 or 8 and was going in to have my umbilical hernia repaired, they “scrubbed up” my teddy bear so he could go into the OR theater with me. ❤️
What’s the blotchy pattern on the right side of the image? It reminds me of satellite images of rocky terrain, or feathers, or that iridescent stuff on roast beef cold cuts.
Aww! My oldest broke her toes when she was about 6. She brought her favorite stuffed dog with her to the doctor’s so the tech x-rayed him separately. Really cute since it was a build-a-bear and his heart showed up on the film. Her little sister was there to so her stuffed animal got his own x-ray as well.
I mean, ok the image itself looks cool this way, but it‘s very unprofessional to not narrow the x-ray field to the absolute minimum possible – especially when it‘s an x-ray of a child.
My old teacher would have flunked me for an image such as this.
I did this when I was a little kid. I dislocated my shoulder playing and was taken to get an X-ray, which I wouldn’t do without my doll getting one too. Funny thing is, as they turned my arm, it popped back in socket and for years I thought X-rays healed you.
When I had my tonsils out, one of Mom’s friends gave me a stuffed rooster before going into the hospital (thanks Mrs. Hoffman) which I insisted on bringing to the OR with me.
I found out the surgeon put stitches in the throat of my rooster when I woke up.
That’s some unnecessary radiation right there. No need to image the rest of the body if you only want to see the lungs. You need to be very conservative, especially with children.

This is so sweet! I hope the youngsters get a clean bill of health.
Nobody else finds this weird? Patient confidentiality? Guess we don’t know where it comes from.
Imagine seeing organs and a brain inside the doll…
I had to be with my son the entire time. They didn’t give me any protection and the doctors all ran behind theirs impenetrable fortress.
My son was fine.
Mmmh. No Demon inside that doll. Noice 👍🏾
Dear God.
Can be shared to r/wholesome AND r/oddlyterrifying
What’s that white dot near her spine?

Adorable while disturbing.

Who the fuck uses film any more? Badly developed film at that.
It’s not real? Clearly photoshopped.

Would’ve been freaky if the X-ray showed a little brain in the doll or something.
Aww
Damnit someone call Egon, Casper is photo bombing in radiology again.
Doll? Looks like demon
Show this to her and she will not get it near her ever again
Thats a massive doll

Xray looks good tho, why was the patient getting one?
Looks like iggle piggle
This is acutually pretty common.

Aaaaaaand there goes my sleep. Imagine you find a brain in that doll. Oh god !
That doll’s eyes can see far deeper than any x-ray.

Butthole surfers album cover
Where is her lungs?
it feels weird to see perfect spines on x ray after i’ve seen my 43 degrees scoliosis on x ray

Ack?
