Edit: remember when everyone got searched going into town. Some shops also had guys checking bags and stuff as customers came in. I was only a nipper but I clearly remember the turnstiles at the top of castle street. I guess they still close Lanark way off
For anyone wondering it’s footage from a serious news report about issues with housing in Belfast from the 1970s but the commentary over the top is a comedian.
All I could think is that is: “Yeah, ‘your Ma is your Da’ is quite ‘queer’ – that is factually correct, Sir. I know that is not what he meant but it is, in fact, a correct statement, nonetheless. For some reason this made me laugh to myself. 🤷♀️
Is this fake? The voiceover seems too contrived.
Touts out!!
Surely this isn’t real… Funny either way

Salty I love it
The oldest record of the reference “your moms ur dad”
Anyone if this is an actual comedy but from the 70s or someone taking old clips and putting a funny voice over on them?
This is one of the funniest pieces of media I have ever seen! Op can you share where/what it’s from??
Next Assignment: Detroit
I wish more people talked like this
This report has me gruntled.
This is rich. Lol I love it.
Started to feel like a Monty Python sketch there toward the end.
Genius!
“I was in fact born at Charing Cross Hospital where I was delivered by Caesarian section due to my exceptionally long torso.”
🤣
It’s fake. The presenter is called Luke Casey and he’s Irish. That isn’t his voice.
now he is in Eastern Ukraine
“Yer da sells Avon” would be the equivalent in Scots Scots.
How queer.
This just makes me wonder how old this earth is, time does not exist so how can we truly know how old this planet is
Anyone who is unsure whether this was meant to be a joke is a very silly person.
What a thoroughly oblivious display of commentary
In tears. “by Caesarean section cause of my long torso”
“One woman, with legs that would not have looked out of place holding up a billiards table…”
That was hilarious
Ah gee, scundered, mate.

That’s Thames graphic always hits me right in the nostalgia feels. Like a sucker punch.

Man’s just done with everything
Troubling times indeed. Shame ol Jeff lied about reunification.
Everyone loves making fun of British people, they’re always making it easy
This is fucking hilarious
