Some background: Agatha Christie had a character called Ariadne Oliver that featured in several novels, mainly alongside in Hercule Poirot novels. Ariadne was a mystery writer who complained having to write mysteries with her peculiar Swedish detective Sven Hjerson. It is believed by many that Agatha Christie wrote herself in as Ariadne since they share the same complaints when it came to Hercule Poirot.
