I love it when a survival game has rain in it. So far Minecraft and Valheim has the best atmo when the rain comes. In both I would sometimes go and stand under cover and just look & listen to the rain…
I remember when rain was first added to the game back in like 2009.
I had just finished making a log cabin when it started pouring down for the first time. I went inside and just watched the rain through the window for ages, listening to the sound of it pattering on the roof through my headphones.
One of the comfiest gaming moments I’ve ever had.

When I was little playing Morrowind I didnt like that raindrops passes thru cover, so oddly enough rain is one particular thing I always stop to admire in videogames 🙂
Raindrops are fallin on my head.
I remember when they very first added rain. When I first witnessed it, me and some friends were in the process of building a sort of dock for our base. It started raining and it was magical!
It was night and we were running around not knowing if the rain would put out the torches.
