I felt that nostalgia rush as well when I found my old gameboys couple months ago.
But for me it very quickly went from nostalgia to āthis screen is so much smaller then I remember, itās kind of annoyingly smallā.
When these games 1st came out I was the onle person in my friend group that owned a link cable allowing pokemon trasfers so safe to say I used that to my advantage and had all the best high levels
I’ve recently been going through a nostalgia phase and the GameBoy color is right at the centre of it. I had sold off all my stuff through each generation so I’d have to rebuy it if I want to have one again :/. And don’t get me started on buying the games again omg the prices. On the practical side I can just use emulation, but the physical nostalgia still bugs me.

When I first started it up, the Gameboy “ba-DING” sound brought back so many great memories!
Can hear that sound with tetris and that annoying sounds when going true grass in pokemon š

Oh man, just yesterday I decided to bite the bullet and start reflecting my childhood game. Got an N64 and some stuff on the way.
Still got my pokemon blue in my bedside drawer.
