Interesting choices. Obviously personal opinions will always vary from person to person. I would wonder if his opinion has changed since this was made.
Rio Bravo is such a delightful, chill movie. It takes its time, and you really feel embedded with the characters. Out of the three, I absolutely agree with that pick.
If you’re stuck on a desert island, you can’t do much better than a movie that gives you an engaging plot AND parasociality.
are ‘desert island movies’ really a thing? i mean, even if you have the movie with you, how do you play it, on what, with what electricity, and most importantly how do you make the popcorn? i have so many questions.

I love Quentin Tarantino, but if he was my housemate I would probably end up murdering him.
For everyone who doesn’t want to watch, it’s Blow Out(1981) Rio Bravo(1959) and Taxi Driver(1976)
Oh haha, I thought it was going to be movies set on desert islands. Mine would be 6 days 7 nights, Cast Away and The Last Flight of Noah’s Ark.
Special mention- Captain Ron and the ending of Deep Rising.
Legally Blonde

His frantic energy is so 90z it’s hilarious
I love how he goes past the Reservoir Dogs section and ends up in the laser disc section where a TV is showing Reservoir Dogs.
Chill out, dude.
Disappointed this isn’t literally his recommendations about movies set on a desert island.
I’d probably go with *Casablanca*, *The Empire Strikes Back* and *The Lord of the Rings* (back-to-back film production, therefore a single movie).
