Using a whole stick of butter for 4 pieces of toast. This is why I’ll never be a good home cook. May 12, 2022 at 10:54 pm Reply
Maybe I’m just not a french toast snob, but this seems like an awful lot more work than I’m willing to do for french toast. Milk, egg, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, whisk, dip, fry. Won’t win a contest but I love it in the morning! May 13, 2022 at 1:17 am Reply
This just comes off as pretentious personally. The best bread to use is day old French bread. Go to your grocery store or bakery and get a loaf for cheap. French toast is like truckstop diner food. Throw in some nice crispy bacon and a couple eggs and a glass of OJ. May 13, 2022 at 6:56 am Reply
