This whole movie is full of superhuman dance sequences but this one always sticks out for me, particularly the bit at 1:07

I don’t know about “superhuman” they’re good dancers, no doubt, but it’s not even “spend most of your life perfecting a skill” level of dance.
from “Singin’ in the Rain” if anyone is wondering.
I would say your 1:07 segment is what they call shuffle dancing today
[This is superhuman dancing](https://youtu.be/IoMbeDhG9fU)
I’m sorry, but that’s the tiktok level of dancing
Amazing what a human is capable of when spending time on practice and effort towards a goa, rather than on a phone and social media.

Are they on wires along with the fiddles? They dance so lightly

Wait, do people not watch Singing in the Rain every year as a ritual?
Is it now referred to as “this movie”? Fuck.
I like [The Babbitt And The Bromide](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKapFZt-sO0)
I’m always struck at how traditional “leading man” square-jaw, Hollywood Handsome Gene Kelly was and still got to do all these silly dance characters. Like he’s the straight man in this pair, but only just.
It always amazes me that Debbie Reynolds basically learned how to dance on set for this movie. Can you imagine trying to keep up with Gene Kelly?! Yeesh!
*Make ’em Laugh* is an Olympic performance.
That was sure was worth the four bits I paid for the movie ticket!
