Absolutely ace film.
One of the most “bulletproof” scripts since Fargo.
I went to Bruges because of this movie. Did not disappoint.
My favorite Christmas movie.
Fukin Bruges….
Great film. If it doesn’t exist a Seven Psychopaths screenwriting analysis would be fantastic also. For me that film/screenplay is so tight, unique and siltaneously hilarious and heartbreaking. In Bruges hits all those notes too but Seven Psychopaths just hits its mark that little bit better for me. Both amazing films.
Just rewatched tonight! Fucking amazing.
I think that screenwriting is one of the core skills in movie-making that tends to get overlooked by the majority of people. Everyone praises the actors, the directors and even things like sound and camera work, but it’s the screenplay that is the foundation for everything else.
my arse “let’s go,” they’re filmin’ midgets
It’s an inanimate object
I wouldn’t go up there, it’s all narrow staircases
“YOU’RE AN INANIMATE F%$KING OBJECT!”

Yeah, I don’t need this video… I adore this film. Turned my perception of Colin Farrell 180 degreeeessss
Did you happen to make it to Prague?
Oooooh yes, In Bruges is an outstanding movie. Martin McDonagh wrote an air-tight script. Not a subplot wasted, not a detail redundant. I absolutely adore this movie!!!
“You retract that bit about my cunt fucking kids!”
“YOU’RE A FUCKING INANIMATE OBJECT!” and the “You’re a cunt…” scenes are still some of my favorite movie insults of all time. XD
Do you use this word, alcoves?
I absolutely adore this movie! One of my all time favourites. It’s perfect.
Does anyone have the thumbnail image please? Need it!
Yes but has Synderen watched it yet?
Running time 1 hr 47 min. A lot of current film makers should take note.
Wonderful flick (though I’m sure you want more people to comment or compliment the video itself as opposed to In Bruges, but I can’t wake my baby up watching it right now).
Anyways, rewatched In Bruges for the first time in a couple years the other night and still feel, as a script, it’s like…90% perfect. The major thing that still sticks out to me and bugs me every time I see it is Colin Farrell just wandering around the most popular square in Bruges after being told to run and hide forever in case he’s shot. Just doesn’t make sense to me – if it was because he didn’t care about his life, surely he knew his being there would not only put his girl in danger, but his friend and mentor as well?
Do you know this word, alcoves?
Love this movie just didn’t like the ending
Imagine if the film had started by showing us the true horror of Ray’s sin. Keeping that from the audience until they’d warmed up to Ray shows how skilled McDonagh is at controlling the flow of information to effect how the audience responds.
