Just from this glimpse, that conflict with the neighbor feels a bit contrived, but can’t really judge something I haven’t seen. Otherwise I’m certainly interested, always excited for more sci-fi shows.
Amazon is in a good spot right now. They had Reacher and The Wheel of Time, which were a hit. Outer Range has been interesting and could be a new hit. The Terminal List, The Peripheral, Paper Girls and A League of Their Own are all set to debut in the coming months, along with the return of The Boys and Jack Ryan, and the premieres of The Lord of the Rings and Thursday Night Football.
But I was just now looking for something to watch and, as usual, a mess, ugly interface, a lot of crap… I still refuse to believe that Amazon will let this moment pass without a radical transformation of its interface and its contents.
Nope. I’ll hold judgement until I see some reviews but at least from the trailer it looks like it’s going to focus on the contrived conflicts, and humans acting irrationally, rather than the mystery. I have a distinct feeling they’ll never explain the mysteries.
always down for sci fi dramas. I feel also having an older couple be our leads in a story like this is also interestingly subversive. I won’t lie though it does seem like there is a lot going on. I do share concerns about the neighbour plot but will hold judgement
I honestly think amazon shows are underrated or discussed
the creators have worked on things like the flight attendant, the Mandalorian, into the badlands in various behind the scenes capacity so will be interesting to see how that influenced them here
Reminds me of the book, “Way Station”, but that’s about a guy who’s secretly hosted/managed an intergalactic station in his home for decades, when a neighbor starts to snoop.
Night Sky, starring J.K Simmons arrives May 20 on Prime Video.
Intrigued!
That has grabbed my interest, I’ll check it out

Does JK Simmons do more sci-fi than anything else, or do I just notice that more?
It intrigued me.

I’ve read the pilot script and it was beautiful. Really excited to watch.

Amazon showing some Outer Range in their sci-fi premises

Show looks interesting!
If this was a movie I would watch it. As a show it’s a hard pass. Most shows drag on way to long with no end in site, no resolution.
