Are they finally gonna save Marlon Wayans?
Ah, so they are basing the movie on the [2017 Honor Among Thieves module.](https://winghornpress.com/adventures/honor-among-thieves/) In retrospect it should have been obvious when they cast Michelle Rodriguez.
The fact that they couldn’t come up with a remotely unique sounding title says a lot. “Honor Among Thieves” wtf? It’s like these execs or whoever names this crap only know how to speak in cliches lol
I’m aware the title is taken from an existing work but it wasn’t any more unique when that came out a couple years ago
It comes out on my birthday…hell yeah
This is coming from the creators of Game Night which was one of the best studio comedies to come out last decade so hopefully this movie meets the standards set from that
I first read that as *Double Dragon*
Will Marlon Wayans make a cameo?
No one wanted to roll a tank, eh? How typical.
Honestly I don’t want to see big budget names in these sorts of movies. That’s a red flag all on it’s own. Character development is important for DnD. If they need A list stars to field the script then the writing is probably shite.
Does anyone under 45 still care about D&D?
Why do so many fantasy properties do this similar “close up of surfaces of metal / fire / lava / sparks flowing through it that zooms out to form the title” thing?
It’s so similar to the Amazon LOTR title announcement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhqGCPMfkNM
Game of Thrones’ title sequence is more elaborate, but also similar in a way, where we’re zooming in and out of some 3D CGI thing that ultimately zooms out to form the title.

I’m not saying it’s bad, they all look cool. I just wonder why they creatively decide to go for such similar ideas. I mean, I know the answer is probably “safe marketing”, but I would hope it’s not entirely that…
I would give this movie a 1d6 star review.
[LET THEIR BLOOD RAIN FROM THE SKYyYyY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwRXE3o9kMI)
That title sequence looks like something from 2003, not 2023. Bad omen.
Why do they make trailers for titles?
I really hope one of the characters dies, and a few seconds later the exact same actor comes out as a different character the party just met.
Not a franchise with a very respectable film history.
Sounds dumber than fuck. Is it going to be players sitting around a table and they get sucked into the game, like Jumanji? Built around the game element? Oh, no? Based off a weak ass 5e module? If not, this is just another cheap B- fantasy schlep…
